Oral Bioavailability of Curcumin Enhanced Using Different Surfactant for Preparing Proniosomal Gel

Purpose: The aim of the present study was to enhance oral bioavailability curcumin using different surfactant and vehicle for preparing proniosomal gel. Methods: Curcumin comes under BCS Class IV which is having low solubility permeability poor bioavailability. Buccal drug delivery can bypass such problems leads increase in Proniosomes offer excellent potential improved through versatile routes, by overcome permeation barriers. Trial batches gel are prepared coacervation phase separation method concentration (Span 20, Span 40, 60, 80) with cholesterol, soyalecithin, vehicles as 0.1% glycerol solution or pH 6.8. formulated systems were characterized find out effects on vesicle size, % entrapment efficiency, release at 6 h. Stability studies carried 4 weeks. Results Conclusion: It suggested that formulation (F2) containing 20 phosphate buffer 6.8 has high release, compare other formulations it route improve drug.
